Blythewood Landscape Management

Blythewood Farms is not only the home Blythewood Landscape Management. It is a non-profit, volunteer organization serving the community of Westphalia and P.G. County. Its mission is to preserve, conserve and sustain the historic Blythewood Farm, just as our landscape branch does with the properties of each customer. The focal area of the farm is the historic home, which has been sustained and restored through volunteer efforts.

After all the landscaping was completed, sweatshirts were given out to the Bowie Baseball team, whose coaches include our very own Bernie Granzow and Mike Berg. The players and crew took many pictures together throughout the day. A delicious cookout followed to feed the baseball players, their parents and Blythewood crew. The night ended with a large bonfire to keep everyone warm during the cool spring night.

In 2018 and 2019, baseball players from the Bowie Boys and Girls club volunteered to join forces with Blythewood Landscape Management to help mulch the landscape and gardens of the historic home at Blythewood Farms. Players spent quality time together off of the field and worked to mulch all the areas of the home. They were able to learn new tips and tricks about preserving a landscape and all of the plant life it contains.

If you read our story, you’ll know that we care greatly about the environment and our clients share the same values. We live and practice these attributes with every landscape project we maintain as well as with our local organizations such as the Bowie Boys and Girls Club. We look forward to our next gathering where we can Preserve, Conserve and Sustain as a community, by creating healthy landscapes and lasting memories.
